What makes a sleeping toddler so impossibly beautiful?

Possible Explanations.

1. They are always that beautiful but since they are never still you can’t tell until they are asleep.

2. You are so overcome with the relief of the silence and the lack of activity that the body releases a rush of endorphins that make you perceive the child as angelically beautiful.

3. As an evolutionary survival mechanisms toddlers release a pheromone while sleeping that makes parents stop to gaze at them instead of escaping out the back door while they have the chance.

4. Their temporary stillness gives you a moment to reflect on how much love you truly feel for them.



Personally, my money is on number 3.
