Thanksgiving Feast

Asher joined his parents and an unfortuntate fowl for his first thanksgiving. He really thought he was going to get to eat turkey... poor Asher

New Tribe Fan

Last weekend, Asher braved the elements (in the 30s) to attend his first tailgater and football game. He cheered (W&M) and jeered (Richmond), but to no avail... as W&M lost in overtime.

We don't want to boast, but...

We have been reading books to Asher since before he was born... the usual, cows go moo, caterpillar eats too much, chimp steals keys from zoo-keeper...

but, we have discovered Asher prefers more erudite material.

Here, Asher and I are reading a bit of Gramsci, whom he was not impressed with; being more partial to Weber.

Monster Baby!

Today, Asher had his four month check-up. We have created a monster!!! Asher is now 18 pounds, and 27 1/4 inches as a 4 month old, which both are in the 97 percentile. It must be those steriods Tracy took to help her running career. Even the doctor who examined him for his two month appointment mistook him for a 6 month old baby. Asher is the monster on the right.

Back to the 'hood!

Two weekends ago we went back to the 'Hood, or more properly the 'Berg to visit Asher's old stomping grounds. Asher and Stella were all dressed up with goodies on their minds...

Friends of the National Zoo

Asher is a Fonz (DC not Milwaukee) and loving it. We have been going to the zoo to check out the critters. So far, Asher's favorite animals are the corals since they are brightly colored and close enough for him to notice. Last weekend, we went with Giulia, Andrea, Tia, Vanessa, and Sammy to enjoy a rare sunny November day at the zoo; and despite seeing the elephants being washed, the orangutans swinging above us, and pandas of many colors, Asher still prefered checking out the other kids.

It's the Great Pumpkin

Last weekend, Asher decided to dress up as the Great Pumpkin (he is a fan of Schulz) and see what he could score for his parents (sugar addicts).
