Poor Asher’s eczema on his legs got bad enough that we finally took him to the doctor. They gave him some prescription strength cream.
And they told us he had an ear infection.
We must be terrible parents. He had been pulling at his ear, but based on all our book knowledge, we thought it had to do with the teething.
Despite the doctor’s assurance that he would love the medicine because it tasted like bubble-gum, Asher assured us that that was not the case and screamed and sobbed each time we tried giving it to him. Even with both of us holding him down the clever boy still managed to spit out about 80%. Deenesh’s (and Hela’s) patience paid off though, and after about 6 days Asher finally conceded that maybe we weren’t trying to poison him and that bubble gum was an okay taste after all.
