Spring Break

Last week was Deenesh's spring break, and even though Asher still went to daycare as normal, and we all worked, it still felt luxurious just to have him home. There was watching Ba Ba while talking on the phone.

Watching sports.

Overall, it was just a fabulous week.

But now it is back to the commute. Deenesh left for Williamsburg this morning.
This evening when I was putting Asher down for bedtime, he saw Deenesh's photo and insisted on going to look for Daddy. After searching the bedroom and the living room failed to produce Daddy he kept insisting he needed to go out in the hallway to continue his search. He even volunteered to put his shoes on (usually we have to struggle to get his shoes on to go outside).

But the good news is that we only have 7 more weeks to go.

Priceless

On thick, dark flannel sheet from the linen closet: free

2 nails from the hardware store: 25 cents

5 minutes to hang the sheet over the window like a thick curtain: free

An extra 30 minutes sleep in the morning:

Priceless.

Even better, it appears to have stalled the creeping wake-up time that kept getting earlier and earlier with the earlier sunrise.

Asher has always been good about not crying when he wakes up, but he does talk very very loudly to himself. And then we he gets bored he starts in with the "Mommy" "Mommy?" "Mommy?" "Mommy!"

Kyrill and Orestes turn 2

Asher attended the birthday party of his two friends, Kyrill and Orestes.We were quite pleased that we managed to get out of there without him bopping either of the birthday boys on the head.

He did however commandeer their birthday balloon.
